A Faculty Induction Programme (FIP) was conducted by Raj Kumar Goel Institute of Technology from 8th June 2009 to 28th June 2009 at Raj Kumar Goel Institute of Technology for Women. The objective of the Programme was to train the outgoing students aspiring for an academic career as well to help them in securing jobs in the corporate sector in this recessionary era. The Programme was divided into four modules.
In the first module, the participants were introduced to the concept of enhancing teaching effectiveness with the help of power point presentation and the operation & utility of Moodle Software.
The second module emphasized on the importance of presentation skills during lecture delivery. In this session the participants were trained in on various ways of making lectures more productive for the students. In this session the participants were trained on various aspects of presentation skills such as body language, face expressions, voice modulation with the aid of video recording and instant feedback.
The third module comprised of classes on network analysis and synthesis & programming.
In the fourth module the participants were trained in learning skills, direct teaching skills, presentation skills & direct coaching skills.
Management games were also organized for the participants to make the learning more effective & interesting.
